……Now where to start.
Mexican cuisine is incredible. If you love meat, avocados, shrimps and tortilla chips then Mexico is definitely the place to go.
My recent trip to Puerto Vallarta took me to many restaurants, street food stalls and fast food spots…purely, because I like to eat. Fresh seafood and salsas are in abundance along with various nutritious and flavoursome sides and snacks.
Throughout my stay I cannot say that I experienced a single bad meal. However I have been to Mexico before and therefore already knew that I wasn’t keen on corn tortillas. So in knowing that, where possible I would have the flour alternative instead.
Below are a few of my favourite meals and their accompanying restaurants; all of which I would definitely recommend you try, if ever Puerto Vallarta……..enjoy x
Miguels in Bucerias, Fried white fish
Jorges hideaway shrimp shack in Malecon zona romantica, Avocado and citrus salad
Miguels in Bucerias, Coconut Shrimp
Café de Olla in Downtown Malecon, New York Steak
Chillis in Liverpool, Shrimp and Steak combo
Fatboys in Bucerias, Fajitas Mexican style
A few other options I tried, which although were not my favourites are still definitely worth a mention:
Chicken salad, Chillis in Liverpool
Mexican style breakfast of Omlette, rice, beans, bread and salsa, in Las Glorias
Mexican fast food consisting of grilled chicken, salsa, rice and tortillas, Pollo de Pepe in Las Glorias
Shrimp Tacos, Fatboys in Bucerias
Shrimp stuffed avocado, Domingos in Yelapa
Have you been to any of these restaurants?…. Let me know your thoughts and experiences
